

WE ALL COME TO THESE REALITY CHECKPOINTS I FEEL WE NEED TO COME TO TERMS WITH AND REALIZE WE NEED TO EMBRACE LIFE, FAMILY AND SPECIAL FRIENDS.
JUNE 2001 WAS MY 2ND REALITY CHECKPOINT. MY FIRST ONE WAS WHEN MY SISTER AND BEST FRIEND OF 35 YEARS PAST AWAY. AT THE END OF 2015 I GOT MY 2nd. THIS TIME IT’S AN AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE. WHERE THE HECK DID THAT COME FROM?, THEY SAY IT’S HEREDITARY, I DONT KNOW ANYONE IN MY FAMILY THAT HAS THAT. I MEAN, IT COULD BE WORSE.
SAME THING WITH MY ASTHMA, ME AND MY SISTER WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT HAD IT. I DON’T KNOW WHO ELSE IN MY FAMILY HAS IT, BUT NOW WE HAVE PASSED IT ON TO OUR KIDS.
WE DON’T USUALLY EVEN THINK ABOUT TELLING OUR KIDS ABOUT OUR HEALTH FAMILY TREE BUT AS WE
GET THESE PROBLEMS WE REGRET NOT KEEPING UP WITH THAT IMPORTANT INFORMATION. AND OUR KIDS DONT EVEN BOTHER TO INQUIRE OR ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THAT, BUT THEY WILL IN THE FUTURE. SO I MADE SURE I TOLD MY KIDS AND OLDER GRANDKIDS. DID YOU?
ANYWAY, I’VE MADE ALOT OF THE EATING HABIT CHANGES THAT I PROCRASTINATED IN DOING FOR SO LONG.
I WAS ALWAYS THIN AND NEVER, (AS I’VE SAID BEFORE) I NEVER THOUGHT I’D BE IN A DIET.
I GREW UP TAKING WEIGHT-ONS, FOOD SUPPLEMENTS, AND VITAMINS TO MAKE ME EAT MORE. AS I SEE IT NOW, I BELIEVE WHAT THE DR’S SAY ABOUT “FOOD IS MEDICINE”. IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT, NOT ONLY IS EATING RIGHT, EXERCISING AND STAYING AWAY FROM THE BAD STUFF ALONE ALLOW YOU LOOSE WEIGHT, THE HEALTHY WAY.
IT ACTUALLY KEEPS YOU IN SHAPE, SO YOU ARE KILLING 2 BIRDS WITH ONE STONE.
IF YOU GET USED TO THAT HEALTHY LIFESTYLE YOU WON’T BE ON YO-YO DIET’S AND SEE THE WEIGHT BACK. DO THE 21 DAYS EATING SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND YOUR BODY WILL EXCEPT THAT CHANGE..(AND YOUR TASTE BUDS AS WELL)
SOME PEOPLE MAY FEEL THEY NEED A STRONGER, MORE STRICT DIET, THAT’S FINE IF IT WORKS FOR YOU. HOWEVER, EATING THE RIGHT FOODS AND THE RIGHT EXERCISE WILL GIVE YOU AWESOME RESULTS AND YOU’LL HOPEFULLY STAY THAT WAY DEPENDING ON YOUR DETERMINATION TO DO SO.
WHEN WE ARE YOUNG WE FEEL WE CAN EAT ANYTHING WE WANT AND IT WON’T AFFECT US. WELL, THAT’S HOW I THOUGHT ANYWAY. NOW I THINK THAT’S ONE OF THE REASONS I HAVE THIS AUTOIMMUNE CONDITION.
I LOVE THIS BOOK BY TERRY WAHLS, MD. THE WAHLS PROTOCOL. SHE SAYS ALL THESE UNHEALTHY FOODS ARE “POISON TO OUR BODIES” BOY, I SEE IT NOW. THESE DISEASES AREN’T A WALK IN THE PARK. YOU HAVE YOUR GOOD DAYS AND BAD ONES. AND THE ONLY REPELLANT AGAINST IT, IS EATING HEALTHY, BESIDES THE MEDICAL TREATMENTS.
MOST OF US HAVE HEALTH ISSUES THAT WE HAVE PASTED ON TO OUR KIDS AND WITH THEM KNOWING THE ODDS OF THEM INHERITING ANY OF THE FAMILY ILLNESSES THEY CAN EDUCATE THEMSELVES TO KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT AND DO TO PREVENT ALL THESE DISEASES OR REDUCE THEIR CHANCES FOR GETTING THEM THEMSELVES.
I WAS WATCHING MONTEL WILLIAMS AND HE SPOKE OF HIS STRUGGLE WITH HIS AUTOIMMUNE DEBILITATING DISEASE AND HOW HE HANDLES IT, MONTEL IS ALMOST 60 YEARS OLD, AND WHAT AN INSPIRATION HE IS. HE’S MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY HEALTHY. HE EATS HIS WAY TO HEALTH AND EXERCISES.
MEDITATING OR YOGA IS IMPORTANT ALSO AS IT REDUCES THE STRESS IN OUR SYSTEM.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY FAMILY AND I WANT TO ENJOY THEM AS MUCH AS I CAN. I REMEMBER MY DAD’S MOM, UNFORTUNATELY BACK THEN WE ONLY WENT TO CHURCH WITH OUR GRANDMOTHER AND WE VISITED HER EVERY SO OFTEN AND DID NOTHING ELSE WITH HER. MY MOM’S MOM DIED WHEN MY MOM SHE WAS 9.
I WANT TO MAKE MEMORIES WITH MY FAMILY, AND GETTING AWAY ON OUR YEARLY VACATIONS IS SOMETHING THAT I KNOW THEY’LL REMEMBER AND ENJOY WITH US.
PLUS I’M DOING SOMETHING FOR MY HEALTH. STRESS IS BAD FOR ANY CONDITION, I CALL IT THE HEALTH GATEWAY BECAUSE TOO MUCH STRESS HAS A NEGATIVE EFFECT ON THE IMMUNE SYSTEM AND IT INTENSIFIES ALL HEALTH CONDITIONS.
